The Opportunity

As one of our first front-end engineers, you’ll take ownership over front-end engineering and on how it affects user experience. You’ll help improve application reliability and performance, while making sure we can continue to code and release quickly. You’ll help drive the product forward — always striving to simplify the user’s experience, coming up with new ways to visualize and interact with information, designing new features.

As one of our first front-end engineers, you would:

• Own the features and interfaces of Sunrise Tech: design, build, deploy, iterate. You’re responsible for what you’re building, and you have creative control over the direction you take

• Ship code to production frequently, often daily

• Run our front-end stack — React, Redux, CSS Modules, Webpack + Babel. Own the front-end development experience

• Architect efficient and reusable front-end modules and systems

• Prepare codebase for incorporation of iOS and Android apps on React Native

• Work with engineering, design, operations, and business teams to create new and compelling user-facing features

• Help continue to build a world-class Engineering team, by helping attract, interview, and onboard your future team members during this exciting time of growth.

You are a strong candidate if you have:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

• Shipped front-end code for 3+ years

• Fluency in the React/Redux ecosystem

• Experience and interest in frontend performance engineering

Most engineers at Sunrise Tech are full-stack engineers. On our team, you’d own features end-to-end, from planning out and structuring data models to designing and building front-end interfaces. The Opportunity

Data is Sunrise Tech’s core product. We are looking for experienced Data Engineers to expand the data products we export to clients, while maintaining and improving their quality. Besides the products we export to clients, you’ll also be working with internal consumers of Sunrise Tech’s data throughout the company. From powering machine learning to driving operations decisions and informing sales efforts, you’ll be working with stakeholders throughout the company to architect solutions for a variety of needs.

Data is also core to Sunrise Tech’s decision making. Working closely with our analytics team, you ensure Sunrise Tech has the data and analytics platform we need to make key business decisions. From internal application data capturing the decisions and interactions of our users to business operations data, you’ll ensure our analytics team has the data and the tools they need to measure critical business metrics.

We are looking for curious, empathetic and analytic individuals to join our team. We are growing quickly in size and sophistication and need experts who love databases and the puzzles posed by moving data through complex workflows with humans in the loop.

As a Senior Data Engineer you will:

• Ensure the quality of Sunrise Tech’s data assets by developing methodologies and processes alongside our research team

• Build dataflows to support our data scientists, whose analytics drive the organization’s decision making

• Expand accessibility of data throughout the organization while respecting data privacy

• Define infrastructure serving low latency machine learning predictions used in machine assisted applications

• Work at all levels of the stack — Python services, database (PostgreSQL, BigQuery), infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes) and other new technologies as you help evolve our tech stack

You are a strong candidate if you have:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience

• Extensive knowledge

• Data engineering experience supporting at least one of the following use cases at scale:

☆ designing, measuring, and improving database architectures that support low latency production code

☆ significant experience in scientific research, building datasets and workflows that operate on large datasets

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a product leader to own our selling record and data labeling platform. You’ll be one of the first product managers on the team, reporting directly to the co-founding CTO, and helping establish the product function at Sunrise Tech. You’ll be responsible for articulating the platform vision, empowering our operations team to improve our human-in-the-loop machine learning models, and enabling the research efforts of our life science partners. You’ll work with teams across Sunrise Tech: Machine Learning, Operations.As the product owner for the SELLING records platform, you’ll be empowered, and responsible, for setting the vision and achieving it. Ultimately, you’ll be driving our ability to scale as a business.

In this highly visible role, you will:

• Identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to our selling data labeling platform, driving key KPIs of efficiency, speed, completeness, and accuracy through UX, ML, and human behavior optimization;

• Evaluate and prioritize new platform functionality and data sources that will enable continued success for users of gizmogo’s data;

• Create detailed technical requirements for new platform functionality through partnership with our engineering, design, machine learning and operations teams and data stakeholders;

• Achieve buy-in from various cross-functional teams, especially those heavily involved with data and research.

You are a strong candidate if you have:

• 4+ years as a Product Manager, ideally working on a data labeling product;

• A quantitative bias, driving towards measurable outcomes;

• Strong analytics and operations background, with an obsession for efficiency;

• Worked in an excellent product organization from which to draw best practices;

• B.S. in CS, HCI, Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent preferred;

• Background as an engineer or data scientist, with experience getting your hands dirty in product development and and training machine learning models.
